FIRST QUARTER MOON

This was taken from my back porch in Littleton, Colorado. It was one of my first shots taken using my new Astrophotography setup. I didn't really take a lot of time setting this shot up. The mount was not polar aligned, I didn't lock the camera mirror up, the scope had not even been out in the cold more that 10 minutes, and I even forgot to use the lunar guide speed available with my MI-250 mount. With all that the shot came out pretty good. The Kodak E-200 slide film has a very fine grain and the AP130EDT has a smoother contrast than my 8" SCT.
